MEMBERSHIP
What makes up our chapter and the reason we are here today is because of YOU. Our members are our number one priority. We want to ensure all members, regardless of their major, are able to gain something from being a collegiate and chapter member of the American Marketing Association. We want our members to have the best experience possible and forge last friendships during their time at UNC Charlotte. In doing so we offer numerous activities and membership events open to everyone!
Objective
After the precautions of COVID-19 we are finally able to attend in-person classes again. This past year our AMA Chapter lost a majority of its members due to everything being virtual and lack of engagement. Moving forward, the AMA at Charlotte membership objective is to bring back the members we lost as well as build up with new ones. We want to inform students and our members that we are more than a marketing organization. We are open to all majors and all people, no matter your experience, religion, sexuality, age, disability, socioeconomic status, education, gender identity, language, and physical appearance. We will use our Instagram, Advisors, word-of-mouth marketing, and connection with other student organizations to help build our Chapter Brand image and message.
Goal
Our goal is for the AMA at Charlotte chapter is to develop a method to help keep our members current on events and information pertaining to the Chapter as well as what is going on around campus involving marketing opportunities (job fairs, internships, interviews, workshops, etc.). We want to keep a professional presence on our social media and website to help reach non-members in hopes to bring in new members. Our goal is to have a 15-20% increase in Collegiate membership by the end of the year.
