COMMUNITY & SOCIAL IMPACT

It all begins with you. In order to make a change we must first make the initiative and commitment to the work. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story is by making a community and social impact. We do our best to make our mark on the community by doing simply AMAzing things. We have worked with the Ronald McDonald House, Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Jamil Niner Pantry, The Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Eggnog Jog and volunteered with the Belk College of Business in hopes to grow our organization’s humanitarian reach.

Our Objective

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte AMA Chapter plans to shed light on the seriousness of food insecurity and inform college students about the condition. College students are prone to have food insecurities from the amount of stress they endure from schoolwork, poor sleep schedule, and the lack of time they have to make a solid healthy meal. Anybody can suffer from food insecurity which can also lead to mental health issues and anxiety.

Our Goal

The main goal for our Community and Social Impact is to market this major condition to all students around our campus as well as shed light on this condition to other chapters and schools. We want our members and students to help spread awareness through social media marketing, face-to-face marketing, and word-of-mouth marketing. Our goal is to produce a major increase in the acknowledgment of food insecurity.
